Can I use it on the carpet?
It can be placed on the carpet for use. As long as it is placed on a relatively stable ground, it can be used.

How far does it stick out from the wall when it is mounted without the wheels?

Very useful heater, I like its timing function best. This allows me to set a time when it automatically turns off when I go to sleep at night. I am very satisfied with its work.
As a heater I think it is not bad, if it can add a remote control function would be even better. I don't want to get out of bed and turn it off every time.
